He made the appeal on Monday during the protest by residents of Igbe Alagemo, a community which has witnessed several kidnappings.

Alliu who said that residents of the area have been living in fear, also enjoined the governor to ensure 24 hours surveillance of the communities:
“Sir, this kidnapping matter has been growing within the Igbe Alagemo community for years and our people have been living in fear, while some are packing out of the community to seek safety of life and property.
“As an Aspirant contesting to be the councillor for Ward C5 IBLCDA, I urge the Lagos State government under the leadership of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo -Olu to kindly direct 24/7 surveillance and security presence to the community.

“I strongly believe the governor’s THEME+ AGENDA has done a lot for the safety of lives and property in the state; the governor should please assist.”
The visibly concerned councillorship aspirant extended his passionate pleas for enhanced security to other leaders and public officials in the LCDAs.
” I also call on the chairmen of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and Ijede LCDA and All the community chiefs and leaders to do more to curb the kidnapping situation.

I acknowledge all their efforts since the onset of the issues at Igbe and its environs but I plead with them not to be deterred but to forge ahead in finding lasting solutions.”
