The General Secretary, Chemistry Teachers Association of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter, Mrs Mosunrat Odumbo, has stated that the exit of the outgoing Tutor – General/Permanent Secretary, Education District II, Mrs Anike Adekanye, will create a big vacuum, adding that her successor would have a lot do to fill it.
While expressing her fear, Odumbo also said that the district has capable hands to continue where Mrs Adekanye will stop.
Odumbo spoke with THE IMPACT at the retirement football novelty match which marked the beginning of activities lined – up to celebrate the retirement of the award -winning Tutor – General/Permanent Secretary. The match was played at the ultra – modern football field at Keme Balogun Senior Secondary School, Ibeshe, on Friday.

“The person that will succeed her will have to do so much to really fill that gap that she will be creating. Honestly, she has made giant strides and her exit will create a big vacuum in terms of leadership and excellent performance. When you talk about the best teachers, the best school, a day governor back -to -back, and many more, it has been award galore under her leadership. Recently too, she emerged as the best Tutor General in the whole Nigeria.
“Also recently, Oriwu College, lkorodu, emerged one of the best top schools in Nigeria, just about two weeks ago.

“Although, the gap that she will be creating will be so much, but I believe that in Education District II, we have capable hands and whoever that is coming is also coming with his or her own energy and positive results that will further change Education District II, and I know that as she is moving, she is not moving with all the glory of Education District II.
“By the time she will be coming back to pay us a visit, she will have reasons to give glory God that she left Education District II with good hopes, good results, and everything that they will continue to make the district worthy, and to continue to be in the lime light as the best in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole,” she said.
