The representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has described his birthday and his attainment in life as testament of God’s grace.
Benson, who clocked 53rd today, said that he is celebrating his day with gratitude to God that has taken him this far and also to acknowledge the support of family members, friends and his operational team, iCare Foundation.
The three -term lawmaker who is the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Defense, said in a statement released on his social media handles on the eve of his birthday anniversary.
“A birthday is not a day to get older, but a moment to grow wiser – Unknown.
“Today, I stand in awe of God’s grace — His freely given favour that has carried me through every season of life. At 53, I can boldly say that His hand has been upon me, guiding, strengthening, and sustaining me through every challenge and triumph.
“2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds me: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Through the highs and lows, His grace has been my anchor, my source of peace, and my reason to keep moving forward.
“I celebrate this new year with a heart full of gratitude, knowing that the same grace that has brought me this far will continue to lead me into greater purpose. May my life always be a reflection of His goodness, mercy, and unending love.
“To my family, friends, ICare Foundation and loved ones – thank you for being part of my journey. May the grace of God abound in your lives as it has in mine.
