A Chairmanship aspirant for the Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) has stated that today, which is the birthday of Rep. Babajimi Benson, his mentor and benefactor, remains a significant day for Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
He described the federal lawmaker as a great gift to not only Ikorodu, but also Lagos State, Nigeria and humanity in general.
In a statement signed by Aroyewun in commemoration of the performing lawmaker’s birthday, he acknowledged his impacts on infrastructure, good governance and how he has continually made Ikorodu people have a sense of belonging.
“March 30th remains one of the most significant days for us in Ikorodu Federal Constituency as it marks the birth of a visionary, an icon of exemplary leadership, and a phenomenon.
“Hon Babajimi Adegoke Benson is to us a replica of the biblical Jesus Christ. His coming has long been prophesied through our long hope and optimism that Ikorodu will be great. Currently, his name evokes a legacy of liberation from the shackles of infrastructural deficit, disconnected governance, and the debacle of self-serving, profit-driven governance.

Further congratulating the lawmaker, he emphasised how he has made residents of Ikorodu proud of their heritage.
“I particularly seize this opportunity to appreciate his nonpareil representation that has put Ikorodu division on the world map. Indeed, there is no better time to lay claim to being an indigene of Ikorodu Division, his adroitness has made Ikorodu a strong reference point for effective and efficient representation, laundering the hitherto wrong impression perceived of Ikorodu Division by naysayers.
