Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) became the third council out of the six in Ikorodu Division that have screened aspirants vying for the positions of council chairmanship, as the Divisional Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Otunba (Hon.) Olasunkanmi Tijani and his former boss and Council Chairman, Hon. Adekunle Festus Ogunbela, were screened along with 12 others successfully.
The panel that screened them on Wednesday consists of Mrs Toyin Salawu, former APC Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Mr Abiodun Iyiola, former Secretary to the Ikorodu North LCDA and former APC Chairman in the council, Alhaji Odidi, APC chieftain, Mrs Juwon Olobi, Secretary APC Ikorodu North LCDA and Hon. Adeola Adebisi Banjo, Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA.
Other aspirants that were also screened were Hon. Alliu Matthew Adesanya, former Secretary to the Ikorodu North LCDA and incumbent Supervisor, Mr Sesan Odueyigbo, a former Supervisor, Prince Adedoyin Jokotex, a health professional and community developer, Mr Samson Bisiriyu, former Assembly aspirant and a community developer, Engr. Bashiru Ismaheel Olaniyi (Dangote), Mrs Soaga, Mr Opeyemi Taiwo and Amos Soaga.
Hon. Ameen Olawale ( Apanishile), incumbent Vice Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Wasiu Banwo, former Council Leader, Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Shukurat Adewunmi Okeowo, former Executive Secretary, Ikorodu North LCDA, Dr. Haruna Balogun (PhD.), former Vice Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA.
THE IMPACT had on Tuesday reported that the aspirants have ben invited to interact with the screening panel constituted by the leadership of the party and were asked to bring along some documents – NIN, APC Membership card, PVC, Letter of Intent to contest for the office of the Local Govt Chairman, Profile/ CV and Program/Action plan.
It was gathered that the aspirants were engaged by the panel on the documents that they were asked to bring along to the screening venue, programmes if elected, party structure and attendance at Ward and LGA meetings among others.
