The individual party members aspiring to take over the chairmanship position from Builder Sesan Daini, the incumbent Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) when his term expires in the next couple of months have been invited for screening by the All Progressives Congress in the LCDA.
They are to meet with the party team at the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA secretariat on Wednesday.
THE IMPACT gathered that the aspirants that have already submitted their CV and programmes to the party were asked to come along with the original party membership and voters’ cards.
Our reporter authoritatively reported that Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, a divisional chieftain and former Vice Chairman, APC Lagos East will chair the screening panel.
Other members are Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, former Head of Service, Lagos State, Hon. (Chief) Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola, former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts & Culture, Hon. sesan Daini, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Prince Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, former Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, Chairman, APC Igbogbo/Bayeku LGA, and the Baba Oloja General, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Mr Shakirudeen Odusanya, former General Manager, Lagos Printing Press and Hon.Alhaji Alhaji (Chief) Jamiu Olawale Abdullah (Bobomi)
Although the aspirants have been asked to come along with their documents, but our reporter could not ascertain whether the screening proper would commence tomorrow.
The race is between the Justice Forum (JF) which many believed will produce the next council boss since Builder Sesan Daini who will be completing his two terms of eight years is from The Mandate Movement/The Mandate Group (TMM/TMG) practically.
Aspirants who are members of the Justice Forum (JF) vying for the Chairmanship position are Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), a staff of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Generation and youth leader in Igbogbo, Hon. Gbenga Oshin, a former member, Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency II and a Divisional officer of JF, Mr David Alagbe, a former APC candidate for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. (Dr.) Matthew Kola Arowolo, a serving Councilor representing Owode/Ibeshe area of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and Hon. Nureni Okemaja, the incumbent Vice Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.
Those on the platform of the TMM/TMG are Mr Andu Balogun, Founder, Andus D’Great Schools, Igbogbo and the immediate past Chairman, Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, Barr. Ade Ayeni, Secretary to Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Ade Bolowotan, Chief of Staff to the incumbent Chairman/Supervisor, Pastor Adelakun Abayomi, the immediate Chairman, Community Development Committee, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Alimi Nurudeen, Council Leader, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Mr Shakiru Seidu, Publisher, MegaXpression, Comrade Francis ’Mani Kongo’ Shonunbi, former Secretary, Igbogbo Day Planning Committee and chieftain of CIIDU, Barr. Olabinjo Adekoya Adetoun, a practicing lawyer, and community developer/advocate, Hon. Sheu Aganga, former Councilor representing Ward C4, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and Hon. Abolore, a former Councilor.
Also in the race, Mr Kunle Bakare, a serving Council Manager.
