AMA POS Empowerment Scheme

In a bold move to promote financial independence and economic growth, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) will be launching another empowerment programme — the AMA POS Empowerment Scheme, for the people of Ikorodu Constituency II, in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.

The initiative, according to Razaq Kabiru Babatunde, Media Director/Personal Assistant to Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, in a statement released, is about encouraging small scale businesses and creating sustainable opportunities for families in the constituency.

Guidelines and requirements for any interested constituent interested in the empowerment scheme will be released soon.

“This initiative is not just about providing financial aid; it is about creating sustainable businesses that will lift families out of economic hardship and drive grassroots development. By setting up POS businesses for selected beneficiaries, AMA is offering a pathway to financial stability while strengthening the local economy.

“In today’s world, small-scale businesses are the backbone of community growth. Yet, many aspiring entrepreneurs lack the initial capital to start.

“The AMA POS Empowerment Scheme will bridge this gap by: providing fully operational POS businesses to selected beneficiaries, encouraging financial discipline and business growth among participants, and enhancing cash flow and ease of transactions within the constituency.

He also said that the initiative is also about “Boosting local economies by supporting self-employment and reducing financial dependence.”

While the AMA POS initiative is aimed at supporting the constituents, the statement also said that it is not for everyone, adding that the process in selecting beneficiaries would be thorough and only pick those who are truly in need of the empowerment.

“This scheme is not for everyone — it is for those who truly need support and are ready to maximize the opportunity. Beneficiaries will be carefully selected based on their: Genuine Desire For POS Business – ensuring the scheme benefits the most deserving individuals.

“Commitment to business growth: only those willing and can prove how to manage and grow the business will be considered.”

He emphasized that the lawmaker is partnering with his constituents through the initiative to create thriving and prosperous communities.

“The AMA POS Empowerment Scheme is more than a financial intervention—it is a legacy of economic empowerment. Through this initiative, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun is reaffirming his commitment to prosperity, self-reliance, and community upliftment.

“This is an opportunity for hardworking individuals to break free from financial struggles and build a thriving business. Together, we are not just creating businesses — we are enriching communities and securing a better future for Ikorodu Constituency II!”
