The Director – General Prince Abdulateef Adebayo Ladega Campaign Team, Mr Yusuf Gbadebo, had revealed that the Chairmanship aspirant is bringing development and good governance if elected in the coming council elections.
Mr Gbadebo who is former Supervisor, Ikorodu Local Government, also said that Prince Ladega will use his vast connection in bringing development.
Yusuf spoke with THE IMPACT at the distribution of food packs by the aspirant to 2000 Ikorodu residents to support them for fasting.
“What Ikorodu indigenes and residents should expect from Prince Ladega’s administration is prosperity, growth, development, harmony, tranquility and above all, security of lives and properties.
“He is someone that is known among the technocrats, government circle, religious groups, common men on the street, and the market people. He has had relationships with these diverse people and that is giving him the necessary backing and platform which is a great advantage to his aspiration.
“If elected, he will tap into these connections for the development of Ikorodu.
“From what you are seeing around the town, his tenacity and doggedness in making sure that at the end of the day when he gets the mandate as the Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government have been shown. He has all that it takes to deliver and he will not disappoint. He’s going to do wonders for Ikorodu,” Mr Yusuf Gbadebo said.
The DG Prince Ladega campaign also appealed to other aspirants and entire Ikorodu residents to go about the campaign peacefully.
“My appeal is that we don’t need to fight ourselves because we are all brothers. All the aspirants are members of the same family, but the most important thing is that we must be disciplined in our campaign and go about our business peacefully.
“My prayer is that at the end of the day, Prince Ladega Abayomi Abdulateef emerge as the next Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government and I enjoin everybody to key into this fundamental fraternity of love, growth and prosperity.
“At the end of the day, we shall all shout Halleluyah!”, he said.
Hon. Azeez Jimoh Olosugbo, a former Council Leader, Ikorodu Local Government, who is also one of the chieftains of the Prince Ladega campaign team, said that the aspirant has the capacity, connection and what it takes to lead Ikorodu.
“Anyone that want to lead Ikorodu Local Government must be someone with connections beyond Ikorodu and can access Abuja easily and here is a candidate that has that capacity.
“As an individual, I am also qualified and have the capacity to be the Council Chairman, but I have to rest my aspiration. My support now is for Prince Ladega who is equally with necessary capacity to also administer Ikorodu and do it properly”, he said.
He said that the young aspirant would key into the quality representation being offered by Sen. Tokunbo Abiru and Rep. Babajimi Benson in Ikorodu.
“If elected he will compliment what Sen. Tokunbo Abiru and Rep Babajimi Benson are doing and also make Ikorodu progress and develop.
“That is why those of us that had served the council at various times and in various capacities are rallying round Prince Ladega.
“What we are doing here today is a campaign of objectivity that is defined with a clear vision and you can see those of us that with Ladega here today which is a just a fraction of those that constitute his team”, Olosugbo said.
He appealed to others yet to come on board to join them and collectively support Prince Ladega as the next Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government.
