Igbogbo Students’ Union Leaders Task Sanwo -Olu Over Igbogbo/Bola Tinubu/Igbe Road

The leadership of a leading community students’ union organization in Lagos State – Igbogbo Students’ Union (ISU) have challenged the Governor of the state, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu on the need for his administration to honour the efforts of leadership and stakeholders in Igbogbo in ensuring the completion of the Igbogbo/Bola Tinubu/Igbe Road.

They task the governor on THE IMPACT platform on Wednesday, when they were analysing Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), the representative of Ikorodu Constituency II’s action that caused a scene at the commissioning of an ultra – modern block of classrooms, mini – stadium and sports court at Keme Balogun Secondary School, Ibeshe in Ikorodu.

Hon. Aro who has been using his good offices in ensuring that the construction of the road which started eight years is completed, publicly prostrated for the governor to beg him to see to the completion of the road.

The lawmaker did not get back on his feet until the Gov. Sanwo – Olu assured him that his request would be met and asked him to stand up.

Comrade Abdulateef Olohunwa Balogun, Speaker of the union, raising the issue in pidgin English, and said that it would be very painful and disappointing for the lawmaker if the governor failed to complete the road after publicly prostrating for him.

“Omoh! If governor Sanwo -Olu no later do this road e go pain me sha oo.

“See as AMA Dey prostrate publicly.

“God bless you Hon. Aro Moshood,” he said.

While lamenting that Igbogbo has been marginalized by the state government, he commended the state lawmaker for his efforts over the road and his representation generally.

“God will help us sha, we know our representatives are trying their best, so, it’s left for the governor to do his own best.

“Igbogbo has been sidelined too much, we no even feel the impact of governor sanwo-Olu. Thank God for @Rep Jimi Benson and @Aro AMA, we no go see anything for this place,” he said.

ISU President, Comrade Abdusallam Tijani, also speaking charged the governor to acknowledge the efforts of the leaders and the cry of the people.

“Hon. AMA and other stakeholders have done their own, it’s now governor’s choice to hear the people.

“I have been waiting since I graduated from Secondary School in May, 2017, when all our houses were demolished in November/December, 2017.

“8 years without a good result and Pen Cinema fly -over was built and commissioned, same as the ongoing bridge at the Odo,- Iya Alaro, Ojota to Ikeja almost completed.

“God will continue to bless our representatives @Rep Jimi Benson @Aro AMA and Sen. Abiru for representing us well,” ISA President said.
