In its quest towards achieving its aim of building an Islamic Cemetery, the Nasrul – Lahi – Il – Faith Society (NASFAT), Ikorodu Chapter, has solicited for financial support from members of the public.
As part of activities lined up for 2025 Ramadan period, chieftains of NASFAT, made the appeal during the 2nd Ramadan Public Lecture hosted by Rep. Babajimi Benson, representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the weekend.
It was gathered that three acres of land have been procure by the Islamic organization at Agboa in Epe Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.

The project is put at N75,000,000 (seventy-five million naira), and NASFAT is calling members of the public to support in establishing a befitting Muslim cemetery in Ikorodu, the more so, that most of the available public cemeteries are like an eyesore.
Alhaji Abdulraman Afolabi Adedeji, Chairman, NASFAT Ramadan Committee speaking at the lecture said that the main focus of the organization during this year’s Ramadan is to raise funds for the execution of the project and others.
“As we continue to grow and serve our Allah, we are excited to announce our proposed ultra-modern Muslim cemetery. This project aims to provide a dignified and respectful final resting place for our loved ones, while also promoting Islamic values and traditions.

“We envision a cemetery that is not only a place of mourning but also a place of reflection, peace, and tranquility. A place where families can come together to pay their respects, and where our community can find solace and comfort.
“The estimated cost of this project is #75,000,000(seventy-five million naira). We are calling on all members of our community to donate generously towards this noble cause. Your contributions will help us to: develop state – of – the – art – cemetery that meets the need of our community, provide a dignified and respectful final resting place for our loved ones and promote Islamic values and traditions,” he said.

Also, echoing the support for the projects, Mr Oladunjoye Shakirudeen, NASFAT Ikorodu branch chairman, also said:
“Because of the challenges confronting us in Ikorodu in terms of having proper burial ground and the fact that all the burial grounds around have been filled to their maximum capacity, the entire Muslim community in Ikorodu resolved to establish a Muslim cemetery and to achieve that, we purchased a parcel of land last year on which work has commenced.
He further stated, “We want to build a modern Muslim cemetery and we want your support in achieving this.”
