In preparation for the 2025 Local Government elections, the Omo Ologo Team – a political platform under All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ikorodu, Lagos State, at the weekend unveiled Honourable Shofowora, Olumide Adeleke (Onward) as the Ward B councillorship aspirant and Honourable Owoyele, Luqman Oladapo as the Ward A Councillorship aspirant respectively.
The monthly general meeting which attracted the presence of different political leaders and stakeholders in APC of Imota LCDA held at the group’s secretariat.
The Deputy General Coordinator, Comrade Folarin Adegboyega Awal, appreciated members in attendance. He explained that the essence of the meeting was to prepare the minds of all the party faithful and members of the political team on the upcoming LGAs/LCDAs elections.
One of the apex leaders in Imota LCDA and the Vice Chairman, Imota LCDA, Hon. Sunday Ayodele Benson, in his remarks informed the members about the forthcoming APC membership registration and things they should expect during the process.
He enlightened them on the importance of the registration and what the members stand to gain when they get registered.
A party in Ward B who doubled as the Supervisor in Imota LCDA, Hon. Bilii Iyanda, also speaking expressed his confidence in the two aspirants vying for councilkorship position in Ward A and B, based on their track records and family lineage.
He, therefore implored all the members to support their aspirations towards building a greater Imota LCDA.
The Councillorship aspirant for Ward B, Hon. Shofowora, Olumide Adeleke (Onward), assured all the good people of Ward B of better representation if elected into the Legislative Arm of Imota LCDA. He noted that his campaign manifesto which is tagged “ONWARD AGENDA” is a working document that will ensure the political development, youth empowerment, and economic prosperity of Ward B, among others.
In the same vein, the Ward A Councillorship aspirant, Hon. Owoyele, Luqman Oladapo, addressing all the team members and party leaders at the meeting, expressed his good intention to ensure quality services and development of Ward A in all ramifications.
Other prominent personalities present at the meeting include Secretary of Ward A, Mr. Obafemi Daniel, and Mr. Badejo Olajuwon. Also in attendance are Omo Ologo Executives, well wishers and Shofowora family members like Mrs. Olayinka Abolaji Shofowora, Mr. Muyiwa Shofowora, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Shofowora, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Olusesi Shofowora, Mr. Oludare Shofowora, Mrs. Ibukun Banjo Shofowora, Mrs. Titi Shofowora, and many other supporters.
