-New Status will add more value to our operation – President
The umbrella body of youths in Igbogbo Kingdom in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, the Igbogbo Youth Coalition (IYC) will now be known and called Igbogbo Youth Forum (IYF) following its registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
The certificate of incorporation was officially received by the body on February 17th, 2025, after about 13 years when the process to get the old name, Igbogbo Youth Coalition (IYC) registered started.
In a statement by its President, Dr. Adeleke Dankuwo, it was revealed that the body encountered serious difficulties in the course of getting a legal backing by registering with the CAC which resulted into changing of its name.
Following its registration, the IYF now has the following as its officers and members of its Board of Trustees (BOT):
Mr Hammed Sanni – Chairman
Barr. Rhoda Amokunmosa – Secretary
Dr Adeleke Dankuwo – IYF President
Mr Toyib Oke – IYF Secretary
Engr. Gbenga Ogunlewe – Member
Mr Tunde Okusanya – Member
Mr Gbenga Oduniyi – Member
“In our quest to improve the group’s image and acceptability across board, the current administration under the leadership of Dr Adeleke Dankuwo in collaboration with the outstanding commitment of the Board of Trustees under the leadership of Ln. Hammed Sanni have successfully registered the group with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
“It is important to notify the group that in the course of the registration we experienced some disheartening circumstances that ‘submerged’ the leadership to where it never envisaged.
“As a result of the ugly circumstances, the group’s name had to change from the known Igbogbo Youth Coalition to a new name; henceforth, our youth organization shall be known and addressed as the IGBOGBO YOUTH FORUM (IYF).
“This administration therefore appreciates our Board of Trustees, all members of the Executive Council, and entire members of the Forum for your dedication, determination, and absolute readiness to give your best to this group and Igbogbo Kingdom at large.
A special appreciation to the Legal Advisor (Barr. Rhoda Amokunmosa) of the Forum for her amazing effort to register the group as well as acquiring the certificate of registration.

The IYF President who is very happy with the incorporation of the IYF, in a chat with THE IMPACT said that the new status of the group is an added value which will make her continue to act within the law and have a legal backing.
He added that the IYF will continue to sustain the legacy of impacting and developing the Igbogbo kingdom with developmental projects and ideas.
The formation of the IYC started with Barr. Kehinde Omolaja in 2013, as its protem leader. He was succeeded by a duly elected President, Mr Olugbenga Oduniyi and followed by the immediate past President, Comrade Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa.
Dr. Adeleke Dankuwo the substantive president took over the mantle of leadership in 2024.
