This is why on Friday, he had interactive session with beneficiaries of his free JAMB forms where he counselled them and charged them to give it all their best to get maximum score to secure them admission.
Awesu is aspiring on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), distributed 400 free JAMB forms under the Awesu Dynasty Foundation (ADF).
To further encourage the beneficiaries, Awesu pledged to give scholarship to ten best students that score 320 and above in the examination among the 400 candidates that benefitted from his gesture.

During the session, Awesu took his time to ask for course choices of those present one after the other and advised them accordingly.
“If you do well in your JAMB examinations, your chances of getting the course of your choice is very high, but you must also ensure that you attempt your post – UTME very well too. The very first thing is to aim at scoring high marks in your JAMB.
“It is easy to use your JAMB to make up for your post – UTME than the other way round.

“I will be offering scholarships to the best 10 students in the forthcoming JAMB among the 400 that we are offering free JAMB forms and registration to.
The Quantity Surveyor took time to explain the details:
“When I say the best 10 results, I am not saying that candidates coming with 220, 230 or 240. That is not the kind of results that I am expecting. I am expecting you to come to me that you have 320 and as long it is in a public school in Nigeria, it is not a big deal sponsoring your education throughout your programme.”

The young philanthropist informed the JAMB candidates of his expectations stating that:
“My expectation is to see you some years after and you are thanking me for the wonderful opportunity to be medical doctors, engineers, scientists, writers, scholars and whatever you want to become.
“If there is any other challenge that anyone of you has you can reach out to me through any member of my team that are here. I assure that I will do the best that I can to address such and ensure that your needs are met.

“If there is anything that we want from you now, it is to be fully ready for your examinations and we love to see you excel in future. That is when we will be fulfilled”, he said.
QS Kunle Awesu narrated how he finished his secondary education between 2003 and 2004 and while waiting for admission, he added that he had the opportunity of going to private university which has been his life because he always attended private schools. He told them why he chose a public one instead.
While narrating his experience at OAU, Awesu charged them they have to develop the capacity to handle pressure and challenges to excel in life.

“But instead of going for the private institution, I decided to go to the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), but I didn’t go through my JAMB because I had 239 which was too small to get me admission for my choice of course and I had to do pre – degree programme.
“I chose public university because I want to experience it and because there is this perception that public institutions like hospital and the rest are better than the private ones This is because of the availability of seasoned professionals and capable hands.
“I got my pre – degree admission in 2006 and started my programme in 2007 in Ife and due to strikes, I had to stay about eight months at home before resuming into 100 level to study Quantity Surveying which is a five – year course in OAU.

“One of the things that I learnt from that school is not to determine x or 1 plus 1, but the pressure in finding the ‘x’. The pressure on you from the family, siblings, friends and your very self in becoming a better person.
“I will advise you all to take your time and look for that x that you have always been told to find, because, when you graduate from the university, you will still be looking for the same ‘x’. That ‘x’ is money – financial capacity, and being a better person.
“You just have to be interested in whatever that they are teaching you. Whether you like Mathematics or not, you must know it. The same thing is applicable to other courses, ” he said.

While stating that he came into politics to make a difference, Awesu further charged them to take advantage of the opportunities that they have been provided with and ensure that they pass their JAMB examinations very well.
He asserts confidently, “I am not a politician but I can also call myself one. Why I am venturing into politics is that it affords me bigger platform to get across to people like you and other like minds, because there is so much more that we can gain and learn from each other. If it’s not politics, I doubt if I will be before you to address and interact with you.
“My numbers are available for anyone of you to reach on anything. I just want to be free with youths and I want us to be the very best in anything that we do. Let’s encourage one another other”.
