“Children want to play more than to be engaged in reading, Children want to have fun; children want to replay; they want to engage; they want to interact; they want to talk and they are inquisitive and that is why toddlers want to ask any form of questions.

“Children are natural researchers who ask questions: why is it not? Why is this one up? How do I poopoh? How do I sleep? If you ask him to eat, he will ask why should he eat the particular food? Please, try as much as possible to answer them. It is in the process of finding answers to questions that they learn.

“There is a common saying that “all work and no play make Jack a dull boy”.

“It will be boring if you have to come to class every day just to read and study Mathematics, English Language and the teacher asking you everyday that where is your homework.

“As you are attending to his homework, also attend to his social and emotional needs. These make him or her happy, relaxed, laugh and at times, take him or her out to fun spots. That is what we are doing,” he pleaded with parents”, the CLO said.

While appreciating parents for their support and cooperation, the CLO also assured them of the school’s impacting knowledge in their children and moulding them to be future leaders.

“We thank parents who are in partnership with us; who believe in what we are doing and who also give us feedbacks so that we can do it better.

“The adult must invest in their today: resources, energy, and time, put them in their today, counsel, guide them aright, and talk to them. Let them see you as role models, that oh, I will like to be like that person and show them positive good role models,” he charged.
