Hon. (Dr.) Matthew Kola Olufemi (MKO) Arowolo, the Councillor representing Ward C4 in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, has pleaded for further support from the state government in making Ibelefun Junior Secondary School, Ibeshe, conducive to learning for the students to encourage excellence.
The councilor who is now aspiring for the chairmanship position in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, played a major in the establishment of the school with the Joint Community Development Association of the community.
The school took -off about a year ago, with a block of six classrooms, and about 200 students.

In a phone interview, Hon. Arowolo said that he has been using his personal incomes to serve the ward and community.
He revealed that the Asiwaju of Ibesheland and one of the foremost educationists in the state, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, is also embarking on a block of classrooms to accommodate the surging population of students in the school.
“To the glory of God, Ibelefun Junior Secondary School is my work, and also, the fencing of Keme Balogun.
“At the moment, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya is building a block of six – classrooms because the school is already congested. In my capacity, I have also contributed N300, 000 for further development of the school.

“Since its establishment, the community has been patronizing the school because it is what they want. They have been bringing their children to the school because it is their pride”, he said.
The performing councilor who has embarked on the rehabilitation of the Ipakodo/Ibeshe Road by fixing several portions of the road where its interlock paving stones have collapsed and empowered youths with skills, urged the state government to construct a prototype structure and provide other infrastructures in the school.

He explained further, “The school is still surviving through the community efforts. We are appealing to the state government and other well – meaning individuals and groups to come and build a prototype building at the school and other infrastructures.
“We need them to help this community to make the school conducive to learning for our children.”
