Combined security operations were conducted in and around Ikorodu on Tuesday during the course of which the Nigeria Police and local security forces combed black spots of kidnappers in search of the abducted woman at Igbe Alagemo.
Four days after the kidnapping, her abductors are yet to make contact with the family for ransom.
The woman was kidnapped on last Saturday’s night when their target who is the victim’s son in-law was not available and taken into the Afa/Agunfoye swamp after the abductors had killed a vigilante who was guarding the house.
THE IMPACT gathered that the Area N Command led the operation tagged, ‘Aberdeen’ Collaboration’ involving all the police formations in Ikorodu and Owode Onirin and the local vigilante groups.
They combed all the creeks and known black spots in and around Ikorodu.
We also gathered that the killing of the local vigilante during the kidnapping may have delayed the abductors demand for ransom, as they usually exercise caution whenever there is killing during abduction.
