Second Ikorodu Youth Conference To Focus On Gap Bridging, Agenda Setting For Division’s Place In Lagos 2052

Youth leaders across the Ikorodu Division are set to hold the second edition of the Ikorodu Division Youth Assembly Conference, a gathering of youths and youth interest groups to brainstorm on challenges confronting them and the Ikorodu Division and provide necessary solutions.

The Conference is scheduled for Saturday 15th of February, 2024 at the Ikorodu Resource Centre, Ipakodo, Ikorodu and it promises to host over 1000 Youths across the division and Lagos State by extension.

According to a statement signed by Olamide Abdulkabir Ogunjimi, “Young Leaders in Ikorodu Division” met to re-connect and share Ideas on best approaches to be a factor in attracting more prosperity to the division and also be a critical player in actualizing the Lagos State growth and development projections.

“One of the resolutions of the ‘Hangout’ is to host the second edition of Ikorodu division Youth Assembly to be organized by the youth leaders in attendance.

The statement further stated that objectives of the conference after the meeting of youth leaders convened by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Development, Comrade Lekan Biliamin Oba, at the weekend, is to bridge the gap between the Older and the younger generations.

Also, to activate conversations around the place of Ikorodu Division in the Lagos State 2052 Developmental Plans narrowing it to what is expected from the Younger generation to make this projection a reality.

Queen Oluwadamilola Edward (Agbeke – Eko) was also announced as the Chairman, Ikorodu Division Youth Assembly Conference 2.0.

According to the SSA to the Governor, Comrade Biliamin Oba, hosting the Assembly is timely and a strategic thinking in the right direction.
