“We are grateful for the support from Senator Abiru and wish him greater height in his political endeavour.

“As farmers, we are appreciative of his gesture and support at all time, and we shall continue to appreciate and support him.

“We are here today, asking our Senator and members of his team to give us time to make use of his constituency office in Korodu, to bring our harvests from what we grew last year with the support of farm implements that we received from him, to showcase them.

“We want to sell these produce at farmgate prices. We want to do this in the first quarter of the year”, Otunba Oke said.

While emphasizing the association’s appreciation to the Senator, the farmers’ chairman reiterated that the farm produce are not to be distributed free, but to be sold at very discounted rates.

“This is our way of appreciating Senator Abiru, for his support and also showing that we made good use of the support he gave to us last year and we are grateful.

“We are coming here to sell rice, vegetables, pepper and other far produce, and affirm that we did not sell the farm implements or misuse them.

“On behalf of the farmers in the state, we want to use this opportunity to thank him for all what he has been doing for us in Lagos East, and we are assuring him that we will continue to make good use of those inputs”, Otunba Oke reassured the #DoingGood team of Senator Abiru.
