The Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, Ijede General Hospital and entire residents of the council on Wednesday, January 1st welcomed the first baby pf the year.
Hon. Gbadebo – Alogba led the council team consisting of the members of her cabinet and officials of the Department of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) to congratulate the baby of the new year 2025, the team also visited the Oke-Eletu Primary Health Centre.
In a statement by Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Gbolahan Rafiu Omotosh, it reported that Dr. Oni, Deputy Medical Director, who represented Dr. Olufemi Aletan, Managing Director/CEO of General Hospital Ijede, told the visiting officials that the first baby of 2025, a boy was delivered by Mrs. Zeenat Nofiu on January 1st, 2025, at 6:55 A.M.
Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba noted that the baby’s arrival signifies an exciting beginning to the New Year.
The council delegation donated cash and baby gifts to the newborn’s parents and other needy patients at General Hospital and the PHC.
Others that were part of the council team were the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Semiu Olakunle Olambiwonnu; Supervisor for Health, Hon. Saheed Gbolahan Quadri; Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Abisola Abari; Supervisor for Youth and Sports, Hon. Oyedele Oyenuga; Supervisor for Education, Hon. Amusa Adijat, Hon. Saka Nurudeen and H.O.D WAPA.
