The former Commissioner of Agriculture and Cooperatives in Lagos State, and the Asipa of lkorodu Kingdom, Chief Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya, and wife, Chief Olukemi Olusanya, have been congratulated by the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, on their installation as the Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwaju of Ibesheland by His Royal Majesty Oba Richard Abayomi Ogunsanya, Bisoro 1, the Olubeshe of Ibeshaland.
The revered educationist and community developer, Asipa Olusanya and wife, will be formally installed on Saturday, December 28.
In a statement by the Senator and wife, Mrs Feyisola Tokunbo, they said that the title is a well – deserved honour for Asiwaju Olusanya and wife, having distinguished themselves in politics, public service, education and community development.
“On behalf of my family and the people of Lagos East Senatorial District, we expressed heartfelt congratulations to our esteemed leader and wife, Chief Kaoli Olatunji and Chief (Mrs) Olukemi Olanrewaju Olusanya, on their installation as Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwaju of Ibesheland by His Royal Majesty Oba Richard Abayomi Ogunsanya, Bisoro 1, Olubeshe of Ibeshaland.
“Like many other well-deserved recognitions you have been accorded, these prestigious chieftaincy titles bestowed on you and your lovely wife, bear testament to your immense contributions to the Ibeshe land, and Ikorodu division and by extension, Lagos state as a whole.
“Asipa, we are extremely proud of your outstanding accomplishments in party politics, public service, community development and your laudable contributions to the education sector, both as an accomplished educator and proprietor.
“On this historic feat, we join your family, our revered royal father, HRM Oba Richard Abayomi Ogunsanya, the Olubeshe of Ibeshe, and the entire people of Ibeshe Kingdom, in celebrating these prestigious chieftaincy titles. May your reign and that of your wife, as the Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwaju of Ibesheland respectively, herald bigger blessings to Ibeshe land.
