The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, has felicitated Christians in Igbogbo, Ikorodu Division in particular, Nigeria and the world in general, on the occasion of the 2024 Christmas celebrations.
Adeboruwa asked them to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ which include love, forgiveness, compassion for others and peaceful co-existence.
The royal father gave the message at his palace in Igbogbo, while speaking with THE IMPACT, on Wednesday, December 25.
“Christmas is a season of love, peace and compassion, which we use in commemorating the birth of Christ and which the Christians celebrate annually.
“I charge Christians and other residents of Igbogbo, Ikorodu Division and Nigerians in general, to emulate the Christ and hold dear the tenets of the celebration.
“It is also important that as we celebrate, we should remember those that cannot because of one challenge or the other; extend our love and affections to them and make them too feel the atmosphere of the season”.
Adeboruwa also asked residents to use the period to pray for leaders in Igbogbo community, Ikorodu Division, Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
He urged them to celebrate peacefully, and adhere strictly to environmental and security regulations as issued by the government, to make the season safer for all.
In addition, Oba Kasali urged Nigerians not to lose hope on the country as better days are coming.
“Of course, there are challenges and economic woes, but the government has good intentions and with our prayers and positive actions, they will not derail. I can assure that there is light at the end of the tunnel. We shall soon witness economic prosperity and happy days”, the revered monarch said.
