The Iyaloja – General of Igbogbo, Alhaja Ashake Wahab, has felicitated with Christians in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on this year’s Christmas celebration.
In a message by the Iyaloja – General, she said that the annual celebration of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ, is a good time for all Nigerians, regardless of our faith, to rededicate ourselves to the virtues and ideals Jesus Christ.
She appealed to members of the market associations to go about their celebration in peace and harmony, adding that year 2025 will be a better year.
“Christmas signifies hope, salvation, love, peace and harmony brought to the world by the Lord Jesus Christ. Igbogbo, Lagos State and Nigeria at large, would be a better place if the values and virtues reflected by the holy birth of Christ, especially love for one another, were practiced faithfully”, she said.
She appealed to traders and entire Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA residents, to use this Christmas to begin to promote the ideals of peace, harmony, tolerance, love and goodwill to all.
She charged them to pray and hope in the government at the local, state and the federal levels, for a better country and economic prosperity in 2025.
Alhaja Ashabi asked traders not to despair, but have positive belief that all is well within the market association in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Ikorodu Division and Lagos State in general.
“I wish you all merry Xmas and a prosperous 2025”, she prayed.
