Last 120 Years Filled With God’s Favour, Unwavering Commitment Of Members, Says Dr. Okeowo, Hon. Vice Lay President, The African Church Ikorodu

The Hon. Vice Lay President of The African Church, Lagos West Diocese, Elder (Dr.) Timothy A. G. Okeowo, JP., and wife, Evang. Kehinde Okeowo, have stated that the last 120 years of The African Church Bethel Cathedral Ikorodu, have been filled with God’s favour and unwavering commitment of members of the church, to the propagation of the gospel and development of the church.

Dr. Okeowo and wife stated this in a release congratulating the clergy, laity and leaders on the occasion of the celebration.

“We bring you warm greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

“It is with profound joy and gratitude to God Almighty, that my family join you in celebrating this remarkable milestone—the 120th Anniversary of The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu. This historic occasion is a testament to God’s faithfulness, grace, and sustenance over the years.

“The journey of 120 years is one filled with countless testimonies of God’s favour, steadfast love, and the unwavering commitment of His people.

“We commend the clergy, laity, leaders, and congregation for your dedication to the work of the Lord, and contributions to the growth of the church and community at large”, Elder Okeowo and wife said.

While stating that the milestone celebration should call for reflection on the journey so far, Elder Okeowo also urged members to use the occasion to renew their commitment to the church.

“As we are celebrating this landmark anniversary, may it serve as an opportunity to reflect on our rich heritage, renew our commitment to God’s service, and envision a greater future for generations yet unborn.

“We pray that this celebration will bring spiritual revival, unity, and abundant blessings to the entire church family. May the grand finale on Sunday, December 14, 2024, be a glorious culmination of God’s presence and power.

“Congratulations once again, and may the Lord continue to strengthen and guide us as we press on in His vineyard.
