Lagos GAC To Assess National, State Assemblies Lawmakers’ Performances Too – Pastor Ojelabi, APC Chair

The State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelis Ojelabi, has stated that the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the highest decision making body of the party in Lagos State, will soon embark on assessment of elected representatives at the State and National Assemblies.

Pastor Ojelabi made the revelation at the graduation ceremony of 4000 educators at the SAIL Teachers Fellowship Program at Ipakodo, Ikorodu, on Friday.


The party Chairman also added that the report of the Local Government assessments conducted by the body, would be made available to the public soon.

“We have just completed the assessment of the local government performances in the last three years. The report will soon be made public after proper presentation to the Governance Advisory Council.

“A similar thing would come up when the House of Assembly members spent two to three years in office, we will set out again, to assess their performances too.

“The same will be done for the National Assembly representatives, to really evaluate what they are doing, if they are in tandem with the philosophy of our party”, the APC State Chairman said.

He informed members of the APC that the ward and LGA meetings are returning by 28th and 29th of November, and enjoined them to attend, while urging the people to continue to register as members of the party.
