He spoke with THE IMPACT at the grand finale of the 33rd Ikorodu – Oga Carnival at the Aayngbure Palace on Saturday, after leading members of his political team who attended in their large numbers to pay homage to the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, HRM Oba Kabir Shotobi.

Whether the election is conducted on the basis of 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Areas or 20 Local Governments, I am going to be on the ballot papers. That is it by special grace of God. I am going to be on the ballot,” he said confidently.
“I have said it before that my administration, that is, the council under my watch as a council chairman is going to be a participatory local government. We are going to ensure that we embrace everybody. All stakeholders must come together to decide things and to chart the way forward.
“I have so many good plans to implement. I am not just aspiring for the mere sake of it. I am a former Director of Education Level 17 and retired without any blemish on my record.
“I have had good experiences and held positions of responsibilities as a party member of either APC or National Republic Convention (NRC). I have participated, paid my dues and worked tirelessly at various levels for our party.
“I have been there as the Coordinator of Hon. Abike Dabiri during the 2015 elections and I was also the Director -General of Team SOB’s campaign for the fourth term. All these elections were the toughest in Ikorodu political history and we were able to triumph” the aspirant furthered”, he said.
Speaking on his plans for tourism development in Ikorodu, Alhaji Ajalogun said his administration would maximise the potentials available to the fullest.
He commended Ikorodu for sustaining the Oga Day celebration tradition.
Kabat was expressive in his analysis of the development plan:
“In developing our tourism we are going to ensure that we have a lot of our heritage and cultural values get better packaged,
“We are going to use them to the fullest for the development of the council.
“One of it is the annual Ikorodu – Oga Day which has been sustained by Ikorodu. The celebration started about 34 years ago and it has come to stay and we are going to promote it further and enrich it.
“It is a unique celebration. It makes us unique as a people. It brings everybody together as a community for development. It is a special event for us in Ikorodu and we will ensure that is sustained and made better.
“We will ensure that we grow and we are not just going to grow by the words of mouth, we are going to ensure that even those coming behind us have things to see that we have done.
“I want to ensure that the local government is made a place where not just anyhow person can go to. I will do this with performance. Hon. Jimi Benson has done this with the House of Representatives. So, if anyone is going to the House of Reps after him, such a person will think twice”, he said.
