Before any other group or guests started paying visitations to the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince (Sir) Abiodun Ogunleye, in commemoration of his birthday, the Iyaloja General of Ikorodu Division, Deaconess (Chief) Busola Isikalu (BUSIQ) have led other Iyalojas and market chieftains across lkorodu, to visit the celebrant in his house and felicitate with him.
The Iyalojas, who were dressed in branded white t -shirts which have the photograph of the celebrant, with blue jeans and white snickers to match, were accompanied by a band set to the Solomade residence of the revered political leader, in the early hours of day (Friday, November 1, 2024) of his birthday, to give a surprise birthday celebration visit.
During the visit, the team which also include Alhaja Mutiat Abeni Ojulari and others danced with the celebrant who is a chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), and also presented a special birthday cake to him.
Speaking with THE IMPACT, Chief Isikalu said that she decided to sponsor and mobilise other market leaders for the surprise visit in honour of Prince Ogunleye, because, according to her, he is not just a father of all, but a listening, supportive and caring leader.
She also said that the former Deputy Governor deserved to be celebrated, because of his enormous contributions to Ikorodu Division, Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
Chief Isikalu, who said that the surprise visit achieved its purpose, also added that they were pleased with the way the celebrant received them, and the way he happily danced with them.
The Iyaloja General of Ikorodu Division, who also doubles as lyaloja of Ikorodu Local Government, wished Prince Ogunleye more fruitful and prosperous celebrations.
