The Chairmanship aspirant for the Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ikorodu Local Government Area of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has commended his political patron, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, for donating his property for the building of a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Igbogbo.
In a statement made at the weekend, Aroyewun described the gesture as one that surpasses the usual standard of selfless service to the community.
The PHC which is being constructed by the Office of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was facilitated by the former Secretary to the State Government, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun.
“One of the things that inspire us is action that lifts humanity. Asiwaju Basorun’s recent iconic gesture has surpassed the usual standard of selfless community contribution and philanthropy; it is an endearing legacy that is inimitable.
“I have since been inundated with appreciation calls as one of Baba’s sons. The charitable donation of Baba’s company premises and the valuable land thereof is huge, profound and indelible. We cannot over appreciate Baba for extending this gesture to our dear Igbogbo Kingdom.
“I am equally awed by Baba’s facilitation of the Primary Health Centre, Igbogbo through the SDGs Office, Abuja. The facility will serve generations. All thanks to Baba for this foresightedness,” Aroyewun elaborated
The chairmanship aspirant added that he would continue to admire the elder statesman for his extraordinary actions and service to humanity.
“To our father of all fathers, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, you are, without a doubt, a Doyen of Community Service. History will never forget you and posterity will be kind to you.
“Thank you so much, sir. May our great God bless you more and more, ” Hon Aroyewun prayed
