The Ikorodu – Oga Development Association, (IKODASS), the organisers of the lkorodu-Oga Day, has unveiled ‘Ankara’ fabric for this year’s edition of the annual celebrations.
The unveiling was done by the Chairman of the association, Asiwaju Rotimi Erogbogbo, at the IKODASS Secretariat at the Ikorodu Town Hall, on Monday.
Joining him for the unveiling were the Iyaloja General of Ikorodu Division, Deaconess (Chief) Mrs Busola Isikalu, markets chieftains and club representatives.
At the unveiling, the IKODASS Chairman announced that the ‘Ankara’ fabric, which he said was designed in China, but was delayed due to some circumstances beyond the association’s control, is now available for sales.
According to him, six (6) yards of the fabric is sold for N4500, and 4 yards for N4000.
This year’s Ikorodu-Oga Day’s weeklong programmes will commence with pre-event activities on Saturday, October 26, with Walk for Fitness round the Ikorodu township, a Day with Lawyers and Football Tournament Final.
The main activities for the celebrations will kick – off on Saturday, November 9, with Inter – religious Service Woro, Heritage Performance, Market Expo and Ram Fight.
