Hon. Aro Moshood Empowers 60 Constituents With Vocational Equipment, Start – Up Capital

After successfully sponsoring their trainings in various vocational centres, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) has empowered 60 successful trainees with equipment of their vocations.

The lawmaker, while presenting the equipment to the beneficiaries at the 2024 Constituency Stakeholders’ Meeting held at the Golden Event Centre, Oke – Eletu in Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), also announced that the vocational centres that trained the beneficiaries will also be presented with equipment for each of the vocations.

Some of the vocations engaged in by the beneficiaries are Hairdressing, Barbing, Fashion Designing, Catering among others.

“60 individuals have successfully received professional trainings, and will receive world-class equipment and financial capital today to start their operations immediately.

“The initiative is aimed at tackling unemployment and fostering self – reliance.

“The gesture ensures that the beneficiaries are not only equipped with necessary skills, but also with the tools to begin their entrepreneurial journey”.

In order to ensure that the beneficiaries do not face any financial constraint in starting their businesses, Aro also provided them with take – off financial support.

“To provide solid foundations for these new businesses, I also facilitated loans for all the participants”, he said.

He added that he has taken the responsibility of servicing the loans for the beneficiaries, haven recognized the challenges that often come with starting a business.

Hon. Aro, who was surprised at the comment of the representative of the youths that they are not aware about the vocational training and empowerment, said that forms for the vocational training were released on the social media platforms for interested youths to enroll.

While deploring the attitudes of youths towards the training and other opportunities, the lawmaker announced that the second phase of the training would commence soon.

The two royal fathers that presented the equipment to beneficiaries and other dignitaries at the stakeholders’ meeting, commended the first term lawmaker for the gesture and his laudable achievements within a short period of his representation.

They warned the beneficiaries to make good use of the equipment given to them to empower themselves and desist from selling them.

Beneficiaries also lauded Hon. Aro for impacting them with capacity to be self – reliance.
