-Observes World Clean Up Day
The National Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) chapter, has expressed appreciation to the representative of Ikrodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, for facilitating the ongoing construction of the Agbede road.
In a statement signed by its coordinator, Comrade Anuoluwapo Taiwo, the youth group said that the three term legislator has been positively touching every aspect of Ikorodu federal constituency through an excellence legislative practice and love for his people.
“We are humbled to join our leader, father and grand patron, Hon Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, FCA, FCTI, to joyfully appreciate our outstanding representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, HON BABAJIMI BENSON, MHR, as he continues to fulfil his sworn mandate of Infrastructural projects, across different locations and zones in Ikorodu division.
“Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson has been a legislator with a Midas touch of excellence, people centric, and a true personality with inestimable value. His antecedents speak volumes in the minds of the good people of Ikorodu West LCDA at large. He has indeed written his name in the annals of history for goodwill and monumental achievements.
“On behalf of the resourceful youths under the auspices of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ikorodu West; we pen this note of appreciations on the aforementioned infrastructural projects which will definitely be beneficial to residents and spur economic growth and ease of commuting”, he said.
He said that the recent inspection of the road by Rep. Benson, will ensure that the Agbede road project is completed in good time.
“This recent inspection underscores a critical milestone in the journey towards completing the Agbede road project, which has garnered enthusiastic anticipation from residents.
“With ongoing collaboration and steadfast leadership from Ikorodu’s key figures, including Hon. Benson, the future looks bright for the growth and advancement in Ikorodu.
“Thank you once again, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR. We are eternally grateful. Without leaving a stone untouched I will also need to extend my appreciation to the brain behind the scene, the Director–General, iCare Foundation and a political strategist, Mayor Muhydeen Sanwoola. We love you. Thanks for always been there at all time”, he said.
Meanwhile, the youth group joined others in the council to clean areas across the five wards in Ikorodu West LCDA, on Saturday, September 21, in commemoration of the 2024 World Clean Up Day.
The World Clean Up Day is aimed at having a clean environment for healthy living, just like it is sloganized, “A clean place is a safe place”.
“In a bid to curb unhealthy living environment, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (N.Y.C.N) Ikorodu West branch, and its affiliates took out time to do a thorough cleanup of the community across wards, and also to sensitize the communities about the consequences of unhealthy environ.
“In commemoration of the World Clean Up Day, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ikorodu West Local branch, and all its youth associations worked together to keep the communities in healthy condition”, the lkorodu West NYCN coordinator said.
