The Chairman of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, has commended the Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Builder Sesan Daini, for his internal Revenue Generation (IGR) efforts and projects.

Hon. Bayewu, who gave the commendation on Monday, at the commissioning of the one – storey ultra – modern Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA Legislative & Administrative Complex named after Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, said that the council is number one in terms of IGR generation.

He said that the council, under the administration of Bulder Daini, has been able to raise the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA’s from about N3million to about N70million and still targeting N100million.

“I am so happy and delighted to be here. I have seen this local government before and I am seeing it again now, and I can see what Daini is doing. He has only showcased this, which is just the physical structure.

“There are some other things that he is doing in the health sector and I can tell you that I know people that have benefitted.

“This LCDA is number one in terms of grassroots revenue mobilization. When we had a Local Government Summit, we actually asked him to come and explain how he has been able to generate about N69milion from about N3million, and he is still going to hundred million naira as internal generated revenue”, Hon. Bayewu said.

While emphasizing the importance of LCDA or council administration to development at the grassroots, Hon. Bayewu charged the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency on the need to ensure its sustenance.

“Imagine if this LCDA is not existing, what will have happened? I think our member of the House of Representatives, should, please, note this down, so that you can think about it again.

“This is what an LCDA is being put up for. Can you imagine where we have a state that is actually happy by putting up a bus-stop, but here we have an LCDA that is appreciating the legislators; appreciating the executives and also appreciating the judiciary.

“This is three -in -one Local government. My brother, you have done well and I wish you well and I hope that by the grace of God, like our chairman said, that things would be fulfilled in your life”, he said.
