A aspirant for the Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has commended the Chairman of the council, Builder Sesan Daini, on the construction and successful commissioning of an ultra – modern Legislative and Administrative Complex.
The new structure, named after the former Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, was commissioned by Rep. Babajimi Benson, the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, on Monday.
Aroyewun, who is aspiring to succeed Builder Daini as the council boss, said that the council boss deserves commendation for the construction of the edifice and also for naming it after Asiwaju Basorun.
“I am happy to congratulate the people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, the executive team led by Bldr Olusesan Daini, the legislature, and all staff members of the council, on the commissioning of the Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun Legislative & Administrative Building located within the lgbogbo/Bayeku LCDA Secretariat.
“This structure is a testament to the fact that our public resources can be well deployed to drive the upliftment of our society and the prosperity of the people.
“Well done to Bldr Daini and his team. Bldr Daini deserves huge commendation for the building as well as for deeming it fit to name the building after our highly revered Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun”, he said.
Aroyewun also congratulated Asiwaju Basorun on what he termed a well – deserved honour extended to him by Council boss, by naming the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA Legislative and Administrative Building after him.
He added that more monument structures like the new legislators complex, will be named after the elder statesman for his contributions over the decades to humanity, country, state and council.
“I specially congratulate my Baba, mentor, and leader, Asiwaju Basorun, for the well-deserved honour of having the building in his name. This is an excellent recognition of over 50 decades of the inestimable transformational leadership that Asiwaju provides.
“I foresee more of such fitting recognition for Asiwaju Basorun in succession.
He thanked traditional rulers, Ikorodu federal representative and political leaders for their presence at the commissioning.
“My profound appreciation goes to our super federal representative, Hon. Babajimi Benson, Chairman, House Committee on Defense, for gracing and headlining the commissioning ceremony.
“I also thank all our political and traditional leaders for their support, leadership, and for beautifying the commissioning ceremony with their gracious presence. Thank you to HRM, Alayeluwa Ọba Semiudeen Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Adeboruwa – in – Council and all leaders of thought”, Aroyewun said.
