Apo Anu: Again, Ikorodu Federal Constituents Grateful To Rep. Benson For Monthly Food Ratio

It was commendations and expression of gratefulness to the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, by the constituents of Ikorodu, as another 500 residents received the monthly food ratio for the month of September 2024.

The presentation of food items tagged, ‘Apo Anu’, which is being managed by the iCare Foundation, the working arm of the three – term lawmaker who is the Chairman, House Committee on Defense, took place at the Rep. Benson’s Constituency office, yesterday.

On ground to support Rep. Benson in presenting the food items were: Hon. Gbenga Basanya, former Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Kunle Ogunbela, former Chairman, Ikorodu Noyh LCDA, Hon. Jumoke Jimbo, former Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Niyi Banjoko, former Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Mr Taiwo Kara, former Commissioner, TESCOM, Hon. Munirat Yisa, former Vice Chairman, Imota LCDA, Hon. Rotimi Olowonishaye, former Vice Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Mrs Funmi Osinowo, APC chieftain, and Hon. Hassan Sheu Aganga, former Councilor, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

Mr Segun Adeyemi, one of the beneficiaries from Oreyo in Igbogbo, said that the representative is exceptional and a kind representative who care about his people.

“What can I say, other than the fact that I am grateful. Honourable Jimi Benson has been an exceptional human being. He is someone that has kindness in him for his people. He has their love at heart and I am not surprised that he has continue doing this which he started long time ago.

“I am really impressed. May God continue to bless him and may he go higher and higher”, he said.

Another beneficiary, Mr Akinsinde Musta Olufemi from Ward E One in Ikorodu North LCDA, also speaking, said that he has been benefitting from the lawmaker’s gesture for a while, and thank him.

“We have been enjoying it for some years now and he has been consistent with it every month since it started. So many people have benefitted from this all the time. I have been a beneficiary for a while.

“He has been superb. I have never seen anybody like him as the representative of his people. Those that have been representing us before him have no been performing the way he has been delivering. Just mention any aspect of human life that he has not touched.

“He’s been touching personal lives, roads, infrastructures, education among many others. He has been marvelous.

“We will continue to pray for him and the party that gave him the mandate, and we expect them to make him the next governor of Lagos State”, he said.

Mrs Adekoya Abisola from Ajegunle in Maya, Ikorodu, also commenting, said:

“I am very happy and very excited about this. This man is really trying and I pray that God continue to bless him and his family.

“He has done wonderful things and has continued to do more and will still do more. Thank you”, she said

Mrs Kalejaye Esther Omolara from Palm Olaore Street, Ita – Oluwo, Ikorodu, also said:

“What they are doing is something good. We thank Honourable Jimi Benson for what he has been doing. He has been doing a lot for the people.

“If someone take this (Apo Anu Food bag) home, he or she is sure of feeding himself or herself and family for some days, and considering the number of people that are benefiting here today, you cannot imagine the number of households that he will be feeding.

“If others can emulate him, starvation will be reduced among our people. We thank him so very much.

“My message for him is that he will continue to move forward and where his heart is, God will grant him help to reach there. He has done enough and we are grateful a lot to him. Thank you, JB”, she said.

Chief Ukegbu, Coordinator Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA from Offin in Igbogbo, in his own reaction, said:

“I feel grateful to Jimi Benson, for this. He has been doing it for everybody in Ikorodu. This gesture is a welcome development. It will go a long way to help people through during this period of food scarcity, particularly at this time that we are experiencing high cost of things.

“I wish him well. I wish that he will go up and up and up until he get to the highest. The sky is not even the limit for him, and I wish him well in all he does in life”, he said.
