It was celebration galore as Prince Abdulazeez Yusuf Owolewa, a Chairmanship aspirant for the Ikorodu Local Government on Thursday, bagged Masters (M.SC.) in Buisness with Human Resources Management from the University of Northumbria,p London.
The colourful graduation ceremony was attended by Ikorodu indigenes and residents.
Some of the Ikorodu sons at Afeez Odesanya, Akeem Sanwoola, Sulaimon Mojeed Sanni, Kazeem Elemuren, Olowu Nofiu, Kazeem Awoyade, Hameed Ganiu and kayode Badmus among others.
Sulaimon Mojeed Sanni, the publisher of an online media platform, Blackbox, revealed the development on his social media handles on Friday, where he commended Abdulazezez for his resilience and for being a good motivator for others.
“Congratulations to you, Egbon Prince Abdulazeez Yusuf Owolewa. You are the true definition of resilience, never stopping to add a bar on yourself and dragging people by their ears not to stay stagnant.
“The day of the eulogy is not now, but we shall return to tell the story.
“In the meantime, congratulations on your M.Sc. in Business with Human Resources Management from the University of Northumbria London”, he said.
Meanwhile, Atebo, in a statement on his new feat, said that his academic attainment is a result of faith and perseverance.
“My journey to achieving a Master of Science in Business with Human Resources Management from the University of Northumbria London, has been a testament to the power of faith and perseverance.
“From my formative years at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (now LASUED) in Ijanikin, to my time studying Political Science at the Lagos State University, this milestone is a culmination of hard work and determination.
“Navigating a new culture, balancing work and studies, and overcoming countless sleepless nights were just a few of the challenges I faced.
“However, each obstacle only strengthened my resolve, and every sacrifice was worth it”, he said.
He acknowledged family members and friends that supported him his academic pursuits and rejoice with him.
“Today, I stand proud of my accomplishment, but I am deeply aware that I am a product of a vast community of support.
“I extend my sincerest gratitude to everyone who has been part of my journey, particularly my family, friends, and those who traveled from across the UK to celebrate with me. Your love and presence embody the true Oga Spirit of Ikorodu, and I am forever grateful.
“This achievement is not mine alone, but ours. Thank you for being my pillars of strength”.
He assured his family, friends and associates of a better tomorrow which he coined in Yoruba, ‘Ayo Nbo’, a slogan that he is using for his Chairmanship campaign and made popular in his home town – Ikorodu.
