Dr Adeleke Dankuwo, a medical practitioner and community developer, has declared for the position of the President of Igbogbo Youth Coalition (IYC), the umbrella body of youths in Igbogbo Kingdom, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.
He is the Medical Director of the Cute Healthcare Limited, Agunfoye, Igbogbo, an health facility offering medical services and assistance at the grassroots level.
Dankuwo is a Fellow of the West Africa College of Surgeons (FWACS).
His declaration on a platform after obtaining his nomination form was attended by approval of chieftains of youth groups in Igbogbo.
A former IYC President and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Achievers’ Crew, Mr Gbenga Oduniyi, commended Dr Dankuwo for his readiness to serve the youth group and Igbogbo community in general.
“It gladdens my heart seeing a person of your caliber coming out straight to express your willingness to serve our community.
“I got your back my brother”, he assured him.
Dr. Nurudeen Oshinlaja, a researcher at the University of Cardiff, Cardiff United Kingdom, who is always involved in activities back in his home town, Igbogbo in his own comment described his declaration as a bold step and also pledged his support.
“This is an awesome step, bro. I wish you the very best in this and other endeavours.
“Take it that my vote for you is in the bag already”, he said.
State Legal Adviser of the NYCN, Barr. Adeleke Aroyewun also welcomed Dr Dankuwo’s declaration and thanked him for his readiness to provide more time for the service to the Igbogbo.
“Very fine product. We must thank you for defying obvious busy schedule to serve the community.
“We are indeed very happy and grateful”, he said.
The outgoing President of the group, Comrade Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa, also welcome the aspiration of Dr. Dankuwo to succeed him.
“Wonderful!!! I am glad to hear your expression of serving our dear community without remuneration.
“Your patriotism will lead us a step ahead.
“Congrats and wish you the best”.
Tayo Oke (Bako), another versatile Igbogbo youth also commenting assured the aspirant of his support and that of other well – meaning Igbogbo youths.
The General Secretary of the Achievers’ BOT, Mr Olabode Oyesanya, also said:
“This is a bold step to serve your community. It shall a success by his grace”.
Mr Ahmed ‘Bobomi’ Abdulai, a senior council official in his own statement agreed with others on the aspirant’s competence.

In his own statement, Hon. Yinka Ogunlaja, the Supervisor for Primary Health, also said that the aspirant is a sane man and a professional who is well qualified to lead the Igbogbo of Igbogbo provided that he has the time
“Yes, he is well qualified with capacity to lead the youths in Igbogbo. He is sane and refined person with leadership capacity.
“I hope that he will create the needed time for the office. He can be trusted with the position and I am sure that he’s going to deliver”, he said.
