Alhaja Owokodu, who said that she doesn’t stop whenever she is engaging in an exercise, enjoined people to cultivate the habit of exercising very well.
“I was seventy years yesterday (Friday), and this is the fourth year that I have been participating.
“I have been doing exercises since I was in school at a young age of twenty-four, because I wanted to be fit. So, I studied in United States of America (USA), and you see people there are always fat, because they eat hamburger and I didn’t want to be like that, so, I started my fitness. Since then, I never stopped. I don’t sit when l am doing exercises.
“I am always on the move when I am engaging in fitness exercises and don’t stop until I finish. That is why I am fitted like this and I am always fit.
“Puka is my fitness partner, we do it together. Every time, you will see us together working out on the road”, she said.
While advising that people should develop the habit of exercising from time – to – time, Alhaja Owokodu said that she doesn’t use drug because of her fitness level.
“I will advise everybody to be doing exercises. They are good and they make you fit and healthy. If you exercise very well, you will not encounter sickness. In my own case, I don’t use any medicine.
“Whenever I have any pain in my body, I do exercises and I don’t use paracetamol or any pain relief. All I do is working out and once I do that, I am okay. That is why I always advise people against using drugs, rather, I encourage them to ensure that they stay fit. Always do exercises, eat well and sleep vey well.
“And when you do exercises, you sleep well and your body will function very well. A person engaging in constant exercises will have no business with high blood pressure, because that can be controlled by exercises.
“So, my advice is for people from age thirty upward to always engage in exercises and stay fit”, she said.
