In fulfillment of her promise to cater for the well-being of her people, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba led administration, in partnership with the Lagos State Health Management Scheme (LASHMA), flagged off the Eko Social Health Alliance (EKOSHA) for residents, on Monday, September 2nd, 2024.
The ILERA-EKO HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME is an initiative that provides easy access to qualitative and affordable healthcare services to residents of Lagos State.
Beneficiaries that were present at the venue of the exercise, benefited from free consultations and other medical services such as free check-up for blood pressure and diabetes, drugs, as well as health education on how to improve the overall well-being of residents.
A total of 215 residents were enrolled for the Health Insurance scheme (Ilera-Eko) for one year period, at the outreach program.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, noted that this intervention aims to reduce the financial burden of residents regarding essential medical healthcare services.
The Medical Health Officer of Ijede LCDA, Dr. Saheed Tajudeen, also speaking, enlightened residents on the benefits of the health insurance scheme which includes free drugs, free treatment of malaria, typhoid, hypertension and diabetes, as well as laboratory tests, blood tests, x-rays, surgeries, and admission for up to 15 days in a year.
The beneficiaries conveyed their gratitude and heaped prayers on ljede Council Chairman.
