The much awaited second phase of the Ounje Eko Food Discount Market kicked – off today at six centres in Ikorodu Division.
The six locations are: Ikorodu Grammar School, Oke Ota – Ona, Ikorodu (Ikorodu LG); Zumtratul Islammiyah Schhol, Igbogbo (Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA); Luwasa Junior High School, Ijede (Ijede LCDA); Odogunyan Grammar School, Odogunyan (Ikorodu North LCDA); Cherubim & Seraphim Primary School, Ogolonto (Ikorodu West LCDA) and LG Primary School, Imota (Imota LCDA).
Our reporters in various locations reported that state officials and vendors arrived as early as 7:00am at the Ikorodu LG and Ikorodu North LCDA centres, while those at the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA centre arrived around 8am.
At Grammar School, Oke Ota – Ona, which is serving as the centre for Ikorodu Local Government, market activities commenced at 10:40am, while market activities commenced much earlier at the Zumratul Islammiyyah Grammar School, lgbogbo, at 10am.
Activities at Odogunyan Grammar School commenced at 11.51am
