A total of 263 undergraduate students across public universities, will be presented with cheques at the Ikorodu Ultra – Modern Town Hall on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
The awards, which are in three categories: Scholarship Awards (200k) , Bursary One (100k) and Bursary Two (50k), are for indigenes and residents in all parts of Ikorodu Division.
While the sum of N200, 000 each will be awarded to students in the scholarship category which is strictly based on excellence academic performance, those in the Bursary 1 category, which is also on merit, will get N100, 000 each, while those in the last category, which is strictly for indigenes, will get N50, 000 each.
Speaking with THE IMPACT, Mr Taiwo Salami, the head of administration, IDPIL, said that the body has been monitoring the performances of the previous and existing IDPIL scholars who, according to him, are doing well in their respective academic pursuits.
“All our previous beneficiaries are doing great in their various institutions.
“It is worthy to note that three of our scholars have completed their academics in the medical line, while another in Educational Management also came out with First Class. They are all from LASU”, he said.
