There Will Be Public Hearing On Local Government Administration Bill, 2024 – Hon. AMA

The Ikorodu Constituency II representative at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), has assured Lagosians, especially members of his constituents in Ikorodu, that the details of the bill on the Local Government Administration being debated at the Assembly, will be made public.
He also assured that there will be public hearing for members of the public to make inputs.
The bill, “Law to provide for Local Governments’ System, Establishment and Administration, and to consolidate all Laws on Local Government Administration and for Connected Purposes’, scaled through second reading at the Assembly.
Since then, members of the public have been demanding details of the proposed bill.
Speaking with Hon. Aro on phone this morning, he said that the Assembly has the intention of making the bill public since it is about them.
“Of course, we are going to make the document public. It’s actually a public document since it’s all about our local government administration which is the closest government to the people.
“I can assure you that there will be a public hearing on the bill where the details will be made public and you are (THE IMPACT) going to be invited.
“Through this, we are expecting members of the public to make inputs “, he said.
He also said that he will be enlightening his constituents on social media platforms on the bill.
