It was a massive turnout on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the special prayer session for late Alhaji Kolawole Saheed Akinsanya, at his Ikorodu home.
Akinsanya died last Sunday and was buried the same day.
The special prayer was led by Imam Nurudeen Abdulquadri, Chief Imam Seedeqoh Megida Central Mosque, Alogba, and Imam Taofeek Abiola. Both spoke glowingly about the late former police officer and sports administrator.
During the event, Alhaji Sambo led prayer by the Ikorodu All Stars Club.
Among eminent personalities on ground to join and support children and family of the deceased at the prayer session, were Hon. Abdulahi Olowa Sesan Olowa, Chairman, Ibeju – Lekki LGA, Hon. Kazeem Raheem Adewale, former Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Otunba Fatai Olukoga, former Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State, Pastor Surulokun, Chief of Staff, Ibeju lekki LG, Engr Saka, Alhaja Idiat Sanda, a business woman, Alhaji Lukman Sonibare, Chairman, Ikorodu Division Football Association and Chairman, Community Development Committee (CDC), Prince Akeem Olukunga, former Board Member, Lagos State Sports Commission, Mayor A.M. Kalejaiye, Mr Babatunde Fajebe, Chairman, GSDA, Alhaju Yusuf, Ikorodu All Stars chieftain, Akogun Lanre Olabinjo, Commandant, IDPIL operatives, Pastor & Pastor (Mrs) Oladokun, Alhaja Bello, wife of Oga Bello among others.

The 8th day Fidau prayer is scheduled for Sunday, August 25, at Magbon Alade in Ibeju Lekki.
