-Ikorodu rep tours road project, visits Oriwu Sun, Aluko houses
The Publisher of Oriwu Sun, Alhaji (Chief) Monzor Olowosago, has expressed satisfaction over the representation of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, adding that he his going to do far more if he is made the governor.
Alhaji Olowsago expreesed the satisfaction while hosting the three – term lawmaker and the Chairman, House Committee on Defense, and his large entourage, during a courtesy visit to Oriwu Sun House on Wednesday.
Hon. Benson, who unexpectedly stormed his constituency in his usual style, also visited the ongoing road construction that he facilitated at Lucky Fibre in Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), while he paid a courtesy visit to the home of the late political leader, Alhaji Mustapha Aluko.
While his visit to Oriwu Sun at the Federal Low -Cost Housing Estate along Sabo – Itamaga road, was courtesy and interactive one, the visit to the Aluko house at Ipakodo, was to commiserate with the family, especially the Vice Chairman, Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), on the death of his mother and matriarch of the family.
Welcoming Rep. Benson to the Oriwu Sun House, Alhaji (Chief) Monzor Olowosago, the publisher of the foremost community news medium, commended the third lawmaker for his quality representation and impact on his constituency and its people.
Olowosago, seeing the large entourage that came with Rep Benson, said that he is always surrounded by people because of his quality representation.
He charged the lawmaker to continue with his good works, stating that he will go places politically.
The foremost community media practitioner said that pressure is much on Rep. Benson, because of the failure of other political office holders, and further commended him for always living up to the billing despite the enormous challenges
“Jimi, I am very proud of you. I am going to do a human angle story that will be of interest to the people with your visit. You did not come by yourself but you also came with large entourage among whom are quality people, including Deen (Mayor Muhydeen Sanwoola).
“Only God knows who will be the next Governor of Lagos State, but Jimi is a quality material that is still going places going because of his quality representation, but God will perfect whatever plan he has for him. On our side, we will be praying for him.
“If he has been doing all these as a representative – street lights and roads everywhere, what is he going to do when he is made the governor?”, he asked rhetorically.
“We are very happy to see you here (at Oriwu Sun), and we are going to publish a human angle story on your visit free of charge, because people really want to know who Jimi Benson is. Why is he doing all these? What food does he eat? How come he has large followership?
The publisher of Oriwu Sun presented a compilation of special publications published by Oriwu Sun on Rep. Benson’s activities, to the lawmaker during the visit.
He also conducted on the spot interview for Rep Benson, for the said human angle story.
On the inspection of the road project facilitated by the performing lawmaker, work is still ongoing on Wednesday, while the drainage system is nearing completion.
At the home of Alhaji Aluko, Rep Benson and his large entourage commiserated with the family on the demise of their matriarch, Alhaja Aluko who died recently.
