Oba Oyefusi Foundation, Children Donate To Rehab Centre In Remembrance Of Former Ayangbure

As part of the activities marking the 10th year remembrance of the demise of Oba (Dr.) Salaudeen Afolabi Adekoya Oyefusi, CON, the former Ayangbure of Ikorodu, children of the late Oba and the foundation named after him, have extended hand of support to the Lagos State Rehabilitation Centre, Owutu, in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area, Ikorodu.

They presented 2 bags of rice, 2 bags of Garri, 10 cartons of indomie noddles, 10 cartons of water and one cartoon of vegetable oil to the rehabilitation centre on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

The team, led by Prince Idowu Oyefusi, Secretary of the Oba (Dr.) Salaudeen Afolabi Adekoya Oyefusi Foundation, was welcomed to the centre, by officials of the centre.

Other children and people in the entourage were Prince Afolabi Oyefusi, Princess Olayinka Oyefusi, Princess Pero Odusanya, Alhaji Lookman Obasanya and son, and Mrs Shade Osho.

Prince Idowu Oyefusi, speaking with THE IMPACT, said that the visitation to the rehab home was in continuation of the humanitarian gesture exhibited by late Oba Oyefusi while alive, which, according to him, his children and the foundation have chosen to do from time to time.

He said that the gesture was also necessary to mark the remembrance by reaching out to the less privilege, especially in the present difficult social and economic situations in Nigeria.

lt would be recalled that the remembrance of the highly revered monarch also featured special lslamic and Christian prayer sessions attended by eminent religious and community leaders, as well as several eminent personalities and residents.

The grand finale of the remembrance anniversary, held on Saturday, August 3rd, also recorded attendance of guests from all walks of life.
