The 2024 edition of the Oro festival in Isiwu in Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, comes up Saturday, August 17, 2024.
The palace of the Eweye of Isiwu, His Royal Majesty, Oba David Olukayode Raji Balogun, confirmed the date.
Women residing in Isiwu, are expected to restrict themselves indoor from Friday night till early morning Sunday, August 18. Also, female visitors are not expected in the community during this period.
Meanwhile, there will be social night on Friday eve of the festival, during which male and female residents will be entertained by DJ and Juju Cinderella at the Isiu garage.
According to the palace, a popular fuji musician will also be entertaining the residents at the community garage, when the restriction is lifted on Sunday.
