Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Division, on Saturday, August 10, stormed the 75th birthday anniversary of Alhaji (Chief) Jamiu Olawale Abdullahi, popularly called ‘Bobomi’ by friends and admirers, to honour him.
Alhaji Abdullahi, who is a chieftain of the APC in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division area of Lagos State and the Asiwaju of Igbogbo Central Mosque, celebrated his birthday anniversary at his home located at Geregere, along Oba Omolaja road, Igbogbo.
Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, a chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and former Secretary to the Lagos State Government, led other APC chieftains which included Rep. Babajimi Benson, representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), Builder Sesan Daini, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Yeye Bolanle Basorun, former Sole Administrator, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Sefiu Ogunyemi (Lobito), APC chieftain, Hon. Gbenga Oshin, former member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, former Executive Secretary, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and Hon. Nurudeen Alimi, Council Leader, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, to the event.
Also at the celebration were iCare Foundation members and other political and social groups.
Attendance at the birthday celebration also included Pastor Ayetoba, former Chairman, APC Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Mr Ade Bolowotan, Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Mathew Arowolo, Chairmanship aspirant for Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Adekunle Anifowoshe, Hon. Wasiu Olowu, Hon. David Alagbe, Hon. Hakeem Sholawon, Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) Chairmanship aspirant, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Comrade Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa, President, Igbogbo Youth Coalition (IYC), and Mr Gbenga Oduniyi, BOT Chairman, Achievers’ Crew and members of the crew.
Also honouring the celebrant were the management team of the Lagos Island LGA where his son, Mr Ahmed Abdulai works. They were led by Prince Olujobi S. Adegbola, Council Manager. Others in the entourage were Mrs. Atinuke Shekan-Olaosegba, the Council Treasurer (CT), Ojikutu (HOD Education), Mr. Idowu Peters, Mrs. Olowookere (HOD Procurement), Mr. Cole (Head of Public Affairs & Information), Mrs. Alogba Olabisi (HOU Tourism), Mr. Ayo (Procurement Officer), Mrs Masha – Aluko, (Admin officer and Mr Kazeem Sadiku (Admin officer)
In a statement released by the Achievers’ Crew on Saturday, titled, “Congratulations to a Great Man”, and signed by the BOT Secretary, Mr Olabode Oyesanya, the crew described the celebrant as a leader and dedicated father.
