The 2004 set of the Zumratul Islammiyyah Grammar School, Igbogbo, have donated 30 benches and tables to their former school in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of their graduation from the school.
The set of chairs and tables were donated by the set to the school at a ceremony attended by staff and students of the school and the national executives of the Zumratul Islammiyyah Grammar School (ZIGS), Igbogbo.
Presenting the items, Prince (Rotarian) Adesegun Fatola, President of the ZIGS’04 (Elites Forum), said that they are using the celebration to further contribute their quota to the educational development in the school and Igbogbo generally.
“We gather today to celebrate a significant milestone of our association’s 20th anniversary and the presentation of school furniture for the benefit and use of the students”, he said.
“This momentous occasion is a testament to our unwavering commitment to education and community development. We are also passionate about making societal impacts to the glory of God, and for the upliftment of humanity”.
While charging the students to use the facility donated by them and others very well, Prince Fatola also urged them not to stop learning and aspiring for greater height.
“To our students, I offer these words of encouragement: use this new facility and other school facilities as your equipment for life-changing opportunity and growth”, he said.
“Strive for excellence, and never stop learning. Learning is a life journey; be curious, innovative, and open-minded; develop your passions and talents, and use them to make positive impacts and remember that education is the key to unlocking your full potential. Stay focused and you shall be rewarded.
“As you begin to use this facility, remember that you are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of our world. Believe in yourself and make the best of your time in schools”.
He thanked the teachers and other staff of the school, for their commitment to the development of their students.
“To our dedicated teachers and staff members, your hard work and dedication are appreciated. Thank you for your tireless efforts.
“I urge us all to continue to inspire, educate, and uplift one another, as we embark on this new chapter in our journey together”, he said.
“Congratulations to ZIGS Igbogbo. Congratulations to ZIGS 2024 Elites Forum. May this project be a beacon of hope, knowledge, and inspiration for generations to come!”, he prayed while congratulating members of his set.
Also at the programme, the school management, as well as national president and executives of ZIGS present, appreciate the forum’s president and his members.
