Ikorodu Chairmanship 2025: Yusuf Atebo Declares With Focus on Education, Security, Agriculture

A professional and community mobiliser, Atebo Yusuf Owolewa, has declared his interest to contest for the Chairmanship position of the Ikorodu Local Government, come 2025 Local Government elections.

Atebo declared his intention based on a bold agenda – Education, Security, Agriculture, Tourism, Infrastructural Development and Healthcare which he intends to harness through the deployment of technology, data collection and partnership.

The vibrant young man declared his interest at a well – attended press conference held at the Ikorodu Club, Aga, Ikorodu, during the week.

“I stand before you today with a firm belief in the power of leadership to transform our vision into reality.

“Inspired by the words of Warren Bennis ,I ATEBO YUSUF OWOLEWA (AYO), is proud to announce my aspiration for the position of executive chairman of IKORODU LOCAL GOVERNMENT, under the All Progressives Congress (APC) ”, he said boldly.

Unveiling his agenda for Ikorodu, Atebo said that his programmes are going to be driven by honesty and open – door policies.

“I am committed to serving our community with utmost integrity, transparency and accountability.

“My vision is to create a prosperous, inclusive and sustainable Ikorodu, where every resident can enjoy the benefits of democracy.

“To achieve this, I have set forth a bold agenda that aims to break new ground”.

While stating that he intends to introduce innovation to promote his education agenda, the young Chairmanship aspirant emphasized the use of smart technology and community engagement to tackle security.

“Education will undergo a revolution, with innovative learning platforms leading the way.

“Security will be enhanced through the use of smart technology and active community engagement”, he said.

In the area of agriculture, tourism, infrastructure and healthcare, Atebo said:

“Agriculture will be transformed, and the untapped potential of our cultural heritage will be unlocked to boost tourism.

“Infrastructure development will be a priority, and women and youths will be empowered through skill development and entrepreneurship.

“Healthcare services will be improved and sports will be promoted as a tool for youth development and community building”, he said.

He pledged to ensure the use of technology and partnership in achieving and sustaining his programmes if given the opportunity to serve as the Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government.

“To turn this goals into reality, I will adopt a new mindset, harness the power of technology, employ data-driven approaches, and foster partnership with local and international investors and stakeholders.

“I believe that creating a great Ikorodu requires a collective effort, I call upon each and every one of you to join me in breaking new frontiers and propelling our beloved Local government to new heights.

“Together, let us make Ikorodu great again”, he charged.
