In commemoration of the World Youth Skill Day, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area chapter, on Monday, successfully conducted a Resin Arts training program for 123 enthusiastic youths.
Through the training, participants were provided with a unique opportunity to unlock their creative potentials and develop a new skill.
The training session, held at the Ikorodu West LCDA Secretariat, was designed to introduce participants to the art of resin crafting, a versatile and increasingly popular medium for artistic expression. The experienced instructors guided the youths through hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and interactive sessions, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to create their own resin art pieces.
According to Comrade Anuoluwapo Taiwo, Coordinator, NYCN Ikorodu West LCDA, the event’s objectives were two in two fold: to foster creativity and self-expression among youths and to provide a platform for skill development and personal growth.
He said that the training exceeded their expectations with keen interests displayed by the participants.
“We are thrilled to report that the training exceeded expectations, with participants showcasing remarkable talents and enthusiasm throughout the session”, he said.
“We extend our gratitude to our dedicated instructors and our Grand Patron, Hon. Olanrenwaju Sulaimon Kazeem, Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Mrs Esther Ifelola, HOD of Agric, Ikorodu West LCDA, and also the representative of the State Chairman NYCN, Comrade Shittu Mustapha, for their unwavering support in making this event a success, as we plan to do more in the coming months”, he added.
