The outgoing Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos State chapter, Comrade Olalekan Biliamin Oba, has appealed for a peaceful and stable elections at the state Congress of the youth group on Tuesday.
Oba, who assumed leadership four years ago , will handover the baton to another Chairman tomorrow.
In a statement on his Facebook and other social media handles today, the outgoing Chairman thanked youths in the state and other major stakeholders for the opportunity to serve and changed the narratives.
“I am at this point very emotional, fulfilled and at the same time feeling inspired as I take a bow tomorrow as your revolutionary Chairman of the NYCN Lagos. I am here as a thankful soul, thanking you all for the rare privilege and honour to have served the Youth constituency to the best of my abilities”, he said.
“You voted for us four years ago at the Teslim Balogun Stadium amidst uncertainties and a heavy downpour – we are thankful.
“History is about repeating itself as we will usher in the new administration tomorrow to lead the Youth constituency for another Four years.
“Our greatest achievement is our ability to implement the Changing Narrative plans, and I know history will be kind to us for our efforts.
“As we all make the vital decisions tomorrow, I urge every delegate to be peaceful, stable and embrace one another as a family”.
While wishing all the aspirants and candidates in tomorrow’s elections well, Oba also sought for suppprt for the incoming administration.
“To all the aspirants/candidates – I wish you all the very best on behalf of the outgoing Executives.
“Please, extend the same support you gave us to the next administration.
“Thank you for letting us serve you”.
