Fadugba Royal Family To Commemorate Patriarchs’ Remembrance With Students’ Hostels

The Fadugba Royal Family of Igbogbo, will, on Friday, laid foundations of both male and female dormitories in commemoration of their late patriarchs – Pa. Amos Olugbosi Ogunlewe (1948-2024) and HRH Oba Festus Molaja Ogunlewe, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom (1940-1974), both of whom were front-runners of educational development in Igbogbo and Ikorodu Division of Lagos State.

Oba Ogunlewe was a former Adeboruwa of Igbogbo and member of Western Region House of Obas and Chiefs between 1956 and 1966. He was the first literate Oba in Lagos Colony.

The foundations laying of the proposed 100 capacity Amos Olugbosi Ogunlewe Male Dormitory and Oba Festus Molaja Ogunlewe Female Dormitory, will take place at the Lagos State Civil Service Model College, Igbogbo, on Friday.

Other activities scheduled to hold on the same day commemorating the anniversaries of the patriarchs, as released by the family, are:

Special Memorial Service @ Fadugba Ogunlewe Family House, beside Adeboruwa Palace, Igbogbo at 1:00pm; Special Jumat Service @ Igbogbo Central Mosque at 2:00pm and entertainment of guests at the Fadugba Ogunlewe Family House in lgbogbo.

On Sunday, 30th June, 2024, there will be Thanksgiving Service by 10am at UAMC (Cathedral), Igbogbo.
